Elm Wizard's Walking Stick - Blue Skull headpiece and on an Elm shaft

My walking sticks are great costume pieces but serve just as well for a good hiking stick. Sturdy and meant to used and should last a lifetime
This Elm was carved to extenuate the rich varied grain. While quite sturdy Elm is incredibly light and this give the staff an airy quality.
The Skull head piece was caste and then pinned with quarter inch mild steel and then fastened deep into the top of the staff with resin. All this work makes the head piece feel like a part of the wood.
Staff was finish with a leather collar and three coats of lacquer.
71 inches tall. (to give you a sense of scale our model is 5’10”)
